Navigate your pathway to net zero
Help your fleet reduce its carbon footprint - and navigate the net-zero pathway that is ideal for you. Using a strategic approach that puts emphasis on first avoiding emissions, before reducing and then compensating them - we enable you to achieve sustainability, both efficiently and profitably.
Avoid, reduce and compensate emissions
Commercial Road Transport plays a vital role in moving almost everything that modern society depends on. And accounts for approximately 9% of global carbon dioxide emissions.
This is why Shell will provide an electric charging infrastructure for trucks as part of our ambition to operate more than 2.5 million electric vehicle chargers - and 150 hydrogen refuelling sites for heavy-duty trucks - by 2030.
Avoid emissions
In the future, zero-emissions trucks will be powered by hydrogen and electric battery technology. As Shell customers transition to zero-emissions trucks, we plan to invest in the infrastructure to support them at home-base depots and on the road, just as we already support millions of motorists around the world.
In fact, our ambition is to operate more than 2.5 million electric vehicle chargers globally by 2030 - including chargers for heavy-duty trucks. Plus, we aim to have 150 hydrogen refuelling sites for heavy-duty trucks across Europe by 2030.

Compensate emissions
Our strategic goals of avoiding and reducing emissions are followed by initiatives focused on mitigating emissions through carbon compensation - using independently-verified nature-based solutions. And a Shell Card to make the process simple and cost-effective.

5 “Carbon neutral” indicates that Shell has engaged in a transaction where an amount of CO₂ equivalent to the CO₂e amount associated with the raw material extraction, transport, production, distribution, usage, and end-of-life of the Shell Rimula lubricant has been avoided through the protection of natural ecosystems or removed as emissions from the atmosphere through a nature-based process. CO₂e (CO₂ equivalent) refers to CO₂, CH₄, N₂O.
